Almost my second year!

Garbage Man
Hello everyone!

For those who read this message which accompanies the comics, I have some things to list off:

1) December 22nd is my second year anniversary of drawing these comics
2) My comics are doing well on Drunk Duck (DD) where I've been posting some archived comics. I plan on moving my main content page from this blog to the DD site. DD does a great job of keeping track of viewers and ratings and it also generates a larger audience than the blog ever did.
3) The comics this week are pretty odd, One was totally nerdy and the other is so cruel...Meh, hope you enjoy them!
4) My birthday is coming up (Christmas eve)!

Enjoy the comics!

If you have a DD account, feel free to leave the comics ratings and comments. It helps me in the ratings. So far I'm ranked 140th over all (out of 100,000+ comics).
Thanks for the support!

This Post Our Of Service

Hey guys.

I didn't have time to draw up any comics for this week.

This is my second last week of classes and exam's and essay's have taken up my time. Also, I'm applying to a few masters programs and between letters of intent, transcripts, applications, and referrals I just had no time to draw this week.

I'll be back next week though. I already have my comics selected.

Thanks for your understanding!

I only have one comic this week...but it's more than sufficient to ensure my passport to hell.

Hope you enjoy it!

I would be remiss if I didn't mention some ways that you can follow/comment/leave me ratings.

You can e-mail me ( thatscomical [at] ) and ask to be a part of the e-mail thread which e-mails these comics to you each Sunday (in Bcc so that no one can see your e-mail). I have 79 people on the list so far.

Drunk Duck:
You can leave comments and ratings here as well. I actually have a record of 400 views in one day which I'm trying to beat!

You can join the group, leave comments, start discussions, argue over your favorite comic.

Thanks everyone!

Comic 290

Hello everyone!

Hope you had a great week! I've very close to my 300th comic! This week's post has comic 290 (I deleted comic 291 because it was soooo terrible!). I think a count down is in order!

So, I'm worried about this weeks post. I'm never sure if these comics are doing well or not because I get very little feedback. I can only hope that you guys enjoy the comics. Having said that, I hope that this weeks post is OK as well. I didn't have much time to work on my comics since I'm busy with some stuff I have happening throughout the week.

Let me know what you think. Your comments and feedback can only help these comics get better.

Your Valentine
Ratings and comments here or on any of the links above are always welcome!

It's Science

On Monday of last week I picked up a serious case of the flu. I've been to the doctor since and I'm on some medication. The only problem is that this flu has incapacitated me. I've missed an entire week of classes and I'm constantly feeling dizzy and tired. I had better plans for this weeks post but I could only make two of my planed three comics. Hopefully you guys enjoy the two I did manage to make.

I also have some exciting news I want to announce, I've posted my comics on a couple of online Webcomic sites to boost advertising. You can find both links below. Any rating or comments on my comics are greatly appreciated.

Don't forget to send me an e-mail if you find anyone who wants to join this e-mail list.

Thanks so much for the support!

That's Comical...Less Confusion...

Business Trip
Jesus Spider

Your Package is in
Hi Hi Everyone!

I was at my friends Neil and Juliet's wedding last night and didn't get too much done today. Hence the late post...

Anyways, it has come to my attention that last weeks post was confusing. If you were one of the confused people, you were definitely not the only one. But that was last week, so lets move on.

I've got 3 comics this week. If I manage to confuse 10% less people this week, I'll be happy :D

Hope you enjoy them!

As for the update:

I have 78 subscribers to date
I'm 22 subscribers away from my goal.

Thanks so much to all those who have joined and/or added their friends/family to the list. Everyone on this list is a friend or family member whom I've had the pleasure of knowing in my lifetime. It's pretty amazing to see how many people you are in touch with at any given moment in your life. This goal I set for myself made me realize that.

If you have anyone you would like to add to the list here, just e-mail me.

I'll see you again in a week. Enjoy the comics :D

Happy Halloween

What's This?
Hi Hi

So I'm late posting this but I have 4 comics this week.

Here's a quick status report on the subscribers list:

Current subscribers 75!
Goal for the end of the year 100
(By the way, my facebook group has 41 members now. Thanks for joining it, the growth was really unexpected!)

I've made a good jump in numbers and I really want to thank all my friends who decided to support me. If you think of anyone who might like these comics, send them to look at them and if they do enjoy them, I can add them easily if they e-mail me.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy the comics. Feedback is always appreciated.

Thanks again everyone!

Comics of few words

Mortal Enemies
Hello everyone!

I've got my Sunday post here and I've got some more news for everyone.

To date I have 69 subscribers to this thread

My goal is 100 subscribers by the end of the year.

I'm pretty optimistic that I can reach that goal. If you know anyone who might enjoy the Sunday e-mail thread, e-mail me and we can set them up. My e-mail is riccifranco [at]

Also, I just recently made a Facebook group that is open to the public. The group is called:

That's Comical

I think you may also be able to reach the group at this link:

If the link doesn't work, message me and I'll see if I can fix it. I have some posts there where I can use anyone's input. Specifically, I wanted to know everyone's favorite comic to date. I would like to know everyone's opinion since it will help me group up my strongest comics if I ever have to showcase them.

Thanks to everyone for the support. I really hope you guys enjoy the comics. Keep me posted on your comments and idea's.

P.S. Shout out to mark Leef. Nicest man alive!

0 to 160 in 1 and a half years

Donkey is Here

This is my 160th post!

Current subscriber count - 64
Goal by end of 2009 - 100

Hello everyone!

3 comics for you. One is pretty offensive; last week I had told this joke to someone I know (you know who you are) and he liked it. I was surprised that he had never heard of it before so I thought I could probably roll it into a comic. I also need to thank Andrew Csanyi
for telling me that joke many years ago when we worked together at Canadian Tire. Last thing about the comics, I hope that everyone is familiar with those Robaxacet commercials otherwise that joke may suck worse than it already does.

I hope you enjoy the comics!

Remember, if you think of anyone who would like these comics, send me an e-mail and I can add them right away. Or send them here and they can find my e-mail on my profile.

Also, a HUGE Happy Birthday goes out to my friend Russ Pereira who is celebrating his birthday tomorrow! Happy Birthday Russ, I'll call you tomorrow.

Lastly, This week I've started adding e-mails under Bcc which hides each persons e-mail from other people in the thread. This way, if you are at all worried that some stranger is going to take your address from this list, you need not worry any more, your privacy is safe :D

Back from my Vacation

Air Canada

Hello Everyone!

As of today, I have 60 people on the e-mailing list! Also, I've created a goal for myself. I plan to reach 100 subscribers by the end of this year. I'm going to try my best to continue recruiting people as I go but I also would like your help. If you know anyone who might enjoy these weekly comics, please ask them if they would like to join or just send them to this blog!

I'm really hopeful that we can reach the 100 subscriber mark. Once we reach that level, I'll set another goal and we'll keep moving from there.

As for this weeks comics, you might have learned 2 things about me:
1) I have an intense fear of flying
2) Perry Bible Fellowship was my favorite internet comic strip...that is until That's Comical came along :D

Enjoy the comics. any feed back is more than welcome!

Calm before the Sotrm

ChickenItalians of Wrath
Hi everyone!

I'm posting early because I wont be here tomorrow. Actually, my wife and I are going on our Honeymoon which we missed last year when we got married. We are off to Punta Cana for a week and wont return until Saturday. Thus, I wanted to post these comics today and inform you that there is a good chance I wont have a post next week.

But...anything could happen.

Anyways, thanks again for the support. I hope you like this weeks post!

Don't forget to rate the comics here. I've got a nice influx of visitors over the past month and it's pretty exciting to watch the blog community grow...even if the growth is tiny :D

See you all in a week or two

Sexual Sunday

Jerk Response
Hi team! By this point, you know the drill. All 4 of you who visit my site are awesome! You are my favorite people in the world! I don't know who you are, but I know I like you!

I've got a theme happening this week. Some things these comics have in common are:

1) They're terrible
2) They point at the inadequacies of the white male
3) They look like a two year old drew them

Enjoy anyways!

With love

3 comics...2 different ideas

Keys To Freedom

I'm late this morning, but I have a good reason.

My 12 year old cousin is up to visit and it was hard to find a moment to to post these terrible terrible comics!

Second, we just got back from the Fan Expo here in Toronto.

But I'm back, 3 comics, none of them good, but all of them deserve an A for effort.

Hi team.

I've got two comics for you.

I hope you guys enjoy this weeks post. I'm proud to say that they are both based on true stories XD

Lazy Sunday

Blood Work
New Generation
Hi Hi

Only two comics this week but some good news to accompany them.

1) The e-mailing list has expanded to 52 people now! Thanks again for letting me send you these weekly comics

2) I'll be drawing comics for a friends online game called Battle Dawn. This is pretty exciting stuff for me. I really have to thank all of you who are reading and supporting these comics! :D

Having said that, I don't think this weeks post is particularly that strong but I had a tough week with my final exams and all. Hopefully you enjoy the comics all the same

NOTE: I've only recently heard that "Dr. Acula" is a name of a doctor/vampire on Scrubs (or some such show). I had no idea. I saw a guy use the name "Dr. Acula" in a game I was playing and thought it was clever and wanted to work it into a comic. I had no idea I was ripping off a joke from Scrubs... Either way, it's a pretty weak comic, not commenting on Scrubs joke :D

August 9th, First!

Let's Play
First Contact
Hi Hi

Another three comics this week.

How's everyone liking them so far? I Hope you are enjoying them.

I am getting closer and closer to 300 comics now, seems like a lot, but time flies.

Anyways, thanks for the support!

August 2nd, Post 151

Robots in Disguise
Guitar Hero

The Matrix
Hi everyone!

Another three comics this week.

My wife and I just got Rock Band this past week and it's been pretty awesome. Also tomorrow is our first year anniversary! We are celebrating by leaving me alone to finish my two final papers I have due next week. How romantic...sorry ladies, I'm taken!

Lastly, leaving me a rating, ranking, or comment on the blog really helps promote my comics. If you want to rate some of my stuff, some methods to do so will be noted at the bottom of this post. Thanks and enjoy the comics.

1) Each blog post has 3 check boxes under them. You can rank a post as "Funny" "So-so" or "Terrible." This is the easiest way to rank my comics as it doesn't even require you to log in.

2) If you use "Stumble Upon" for your browser, you can thumbs up the blog and leave a review. This promotes the site to other Stumble Upon users who may get trafficked over to my site if enough positive ratings are made.

3) Each blog post also allows you to leave comments. The discussion may promote more engagement with the material.

Thanks for all the help!

No Such Thing
Play Fight

Star Gazing
Hi team!

Got three comics this week. I think Star Gazing might be a bit too odd. But I just like Tony Danza's look :D

Thanks for the support everyone and feel free to check out some of the 250+ archived comics I have on this blog.

P.S. E-mail me if you have anyone you would like to add to the weekly e-mail group for these comics.
